A wonderful start to a new series
13 June 2018
It took very strong brave young women to enter the exclusive male-dominated world of the police force back in the 1960s where women were treated more as a bit of a joke and mostly required to make the tea for those men around them.
They were hampered by skirts and leather shoulder bags and not considered clever enough to 'make it'.
Thankfully many of them did and now women can be found in the higher echelons of Policing around the world along with their male counterparts and are no longer considered a joke but are taken just as seriously as their cohorts.
That Faith Martin has decided to begin a series with a young woman facing her first hard years in this male-dominated world of the 60s and then teaming her with a Coroner is a brilliant idea and, because it's Faith Martin I know it will become another series we will be hooked into very quickly, she is a superb writer and author.
