Can't rave enough about how impressive this bottle is. It checks all the boxes for me 1) Retains heat really well - Have hot water inside for 4 hours now and is still too hot to drink! I had to leave the lid open for 1h and is still pretty hot! 2) Lid is easy to clean - no multiple parts to disassemble for washing! Very impt for me because i like to have coffee with milk. So many other models and brands have too many intricate and complicated lids making washing a pain. 3) Great size for personal use - I also have a large thermos stainless steel king which retains heat for well over 12h in winter! 4) This bottle looks like it was stainless steel colour on the outside, but is actually white. Looks really nice.
My minor complaints are that the base has a plastic shell. I'm thinking it helps with the heat loss but hope it lasts. And it lacks a holder ring on the bottle too. Still it beats the Zojirushi on price by half, and the Contigo on the lid design and durability. 5/5 stars! Now if only the Thermos cafe 200ml travel cup is just as good with heat retention...
Great for adults and kids alike. Fits in most cupholders in the car as well as in school bags for example. What I dislike is the plastic bottom, susceptible for cracking the instant the bottle is dropped on any hard surface. I don't mean from a great height, just a small drop with a full bottle and you are guaranteed the plastic bottom will crack. There is no compromise on the actual water retention, it is just aesthetics with the plastic bottom.
I use it and a 2nd one I bought to carry hot & cold drinks in my cars. The flasks are easy to open, unload/decant from and re-close while on the move. Yep, the most convenient flasks I'd bought. Cheers Thermos, you've done it again !! Phil Marks
