Menace was so good i read it in one sitting. I was so excited to to read this one as menace being a single hot dad to a soon to be 18 year old caleb , whom he raised on his own with just a bit of help from his mum his dad didnt want anything to do with him as menace was 16 years old and had apparently ruined his life . The sacrifices menace had made to give caleb a great life like any single parent does is insurmountable but at the end of the day you do what you have to do for your children. I love how menace finally got his happily ever after with rina and how she loved calab as her own . This whole book gave me the feels and i cried when it was time for caleb to say good bye and move on to college. As a parent you hope you have raised a smart kind and caring individual and letting them go out into the world on there own as an adult is a scary thing for any parent . But this truely was a great read full of love &, devotion, 5 stars from me
Menace is my favourite of this entire series and I did not think anything could top Havoc but I have been proven wrong. Mason (Menace) and Karina just give this story such depth and I put that down to Mason’s maturity.
Admittedly, I did not notice Mason that much in the other stories. He was always in the background except for the incident with Caleb with the Moonshine.
You know a wonderful story when you highlight beautiful moments and there were many in Menace. We follow Mason and Karina from their blind date to ultimately Karina delivering the family unit that Mason and Caleb always felt was lacking in just the two of them. I loved following Karina giving these two men a female touch to their home and lives. The reference to cupcakes for Caleb made me tear up and then Menace and his fear of being lonely and Karina filling that hole.
Karina was a wonderful female character, she too had her heart broken but she was such a strong role model and it was perfect her being a teacher. One of my favorite moments was when Menace came to the classroom and realises who his son’s teacher is!
There is the touch of drama from the Moonshine Taskforce which creates excitement and again all the crew feature in their love story.
I actually thought this would be the end but I see with excitement that Caleb is getting his own story and I cannot wait.
Menace by Laramie Briscoe is the fifth book in her Moonshine Task Force series. Finally the story of single father Mason (AKA Menace) and the woman he finally allowed himself to fall for.
Mason has been dedicated to raising his son as best he can for over seventeen years. Caleb is now almost a grown man himself. With the family dynamic changing between these two and the recent troubles they made it through making them even closer, Caleb convinces his dad to start dating. Having found a match on a dating app, Menace takes a chance and finds more than he could have ever hoped for in Karina.
Karina is stepping out of her comfort bubble and somewhat self-imposed exile in Alabama and agrees to a date with a hot guy on a dating app. They spend a wonderful evening together talking and laughing and building the sexual chemistry and wind up having an explosive sexual interlude in the back of Mason's Jeep. Little did she expect him to be the father of one of her students, but the relationship builds and grows from there.
Well-written, well-paced and just a fabulous read I have absolutely adored this series so far and am excited for the next book, Cruise. Enjoy!
The fifth book in this series thankfully is here, I enjoy this Moonshine Task Force series immensely and have been eagerly awaiting the story of this single dad.
Mason, or Menace as he's known on the task force, was an extremely young father, sixteen, however he fought to save his son and bring him up himself. This he has done and now that Caleb, his son, is eighteen and nearly ready to leave high school to start his college education, he finds himself ready to tackle dating again. Karina and Mason meet after both liking each other on a dating app. The chemistry is there in bucketloads.
This is a fast paced, easy to read book that is extremely entertaining and easy in which to lose yourself. The characters are very real and easy to like. Katrina sounds like a great teacher who enjoys her students. Mason is a dedicated police officer and father. Told from both lead characters points of view, we garner a deeper insight into what makes them tick, why they do things and how they feel.
The passionate, raw intimacy is sizzling hot between Mason and Karina. They literally burn up the pages! More importantly it is a sweet romance that makes you feel terrific. Throw in some suspense and tie it up with some drama and that gives you a great story
Menace my newest favorite Moonshine book. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Menace the single dad, loner by choice & Caleb his son. Rina makes this suit by being a strong character with just enough sweetness to bring this amazing family together.
Hot Single Cop Dad Romance. WOW! the Single part didn't last for long once Karina came into his life. Menace is a true romance story with a happily ever after anyone would dream of. Well done Laramie you have saved the best MTF officer for last, Menace is very much my Favourite!
