Another emotional rollercoaster by Stunich that you just don't want to get off of! Baby Girl pulls at your heartstrings from page one. A story about great love, greater loss and a beautiful sort of pain that's told magnificently. Emby our MC is someone that you can really get invested in. She's the broken pieces we all have inside of ourselves from time to time and the resilience amd strength we all wish to have. Phoenix is strikingly written, gorgeous, dark and he'll have you wishing he was the one putting all of you're shattered pieces back together. Baby Girl is phenomenal.
This hit me in the feels so freaking hard that i couldnt breathe at some stages. CM Stunich can literally do no wrong here.Baby Girl was a M/F contemporary story that ripped your heart out with a swift fist, only to throw it back into your chest without warning, and i absoltely loved it! This was phenominal!
The story follows Embry and Pheonix whos lives have been intertwined (in both good and bad ways) for as long as they can remember. A tragic and heart wrenching scene pull everyone's lives apart and each character is forced to pick up their pieces of shattered soul and move on. However, as fate would have it, she wasnt done with Embry and Pheonix yet. This story delves into some shady dealings, some tormented feelings and yet it can be completely joyous and uplifting in some scenes. Baby Girl is not some wishy-washy contemporary, its gritty, its real and my god do you feel what Embry feels.
I laughed, i cried, i cheered and i worried along with every other character in this book. Id be willing to say that i think this is the most emotive writing ive ever seen from CM, and it was amazing!
Oh my, my heart hurts. Another awesome read by CM Stunich, a stand-alone that beats with emotion and beautiful characters torn apart in their grief. But it’s certainly worthy of a read or two....five stars.
I’ve mostly read a lot of C.M. Stunich’ reverse harem books. So I was super excited to start BABYGIRL. It was sad but hopeful and I enjoyed the characters so much. Beautiful yet heartbreaking story of finding a way to survive when you feel dead inside. Really well written 👍
