I really enjoyed this book. The writer has an easy to read style and is very self deprecating. He tells his story about his flaws and how he has overcome them by being not-so-nice. I've read a lot of books on people pleasing, staying small, not standing up for myself and putting my needs last. This book covers all these issues. The writer ultimately finds out what is important in his life, where he wants to put his energy, and how he goes about it. It's about being the "real you" not the "nice you".
As a person who experienced a massive paradigm shift with Robert Glover's "No more Mr Nice Guy", I was naturally curious about Dr Gazipura's book on a similar theme. I am a big fan of Dr. Gazipura's book on Social Anxiety so I was keen to get stuck into this book. Overall I have found this book to be extremely helpful. It is in line with the themes from "No more Mr. Nice Guy" and then expands on the concepts of being true to yourself, Saying "No", and discovering your shadow. At the end is a "Boldness Training Bootcamp" which provides good guidance on how to put these principles into action over 30 days. Highly recommended for eradicating the plague of "niceness" which seems to be infecting a lot of modern men.
