Great sharp knife, well made, nice balance This is my first "chef's knife." It has languished in my wishlist for years, because as much as I've hated all those cheap serrated edge crap-knives I've been using all along. Well, I did, and now I'm wondering why I waited so long. Insanely sharp. Insanely well balanced. It's just right, in almost every way, the unibody construction is very easy to clean unlike other brands with composite handle trying hard to last. If you're going to have one great knife, this is the one.
A Piece of Art This Licok 8 inch Chef's knife is a piece of art. All one piece, thin, light, perfectly balanced, it feels wonderful in your hand. Of course it is super sharp and strong, but what sets it apart from a lot of knives is the one piece construction. The grip is not slippery at all and no harder to hold than ordinary grips. The light, thinness of the knife makes is very easy to perform paper-thin cuts of vegetables and fish. Very unique looking and well designed knife. Extremely sharp as well. Really awesome!
I am a professional chef by trade and have owned a lot of knives in my many years of working in kitchens. The lightweight and balance of this knife make working with it a breeze. The grip is outstanding and I love that the knife is one piece with no attached wood/other material. It is super easy to clean and goes well with the dishwasher. If you are new to cooking or an old hand like me I highly recommend this knife. You will not find a better one on the market for this price.
