I loved this game as a kid. It was a fantastic way to pass the time and the old 64 copped a flogging. Then I got older and discovered drunk Mario Carts.
1. Open your drink before you start the race 2. The first player to cross the finish line wins, BUT, you must finish your beer before you finish the race. 3. The only other rule is that your Kart must be at a complete stop before you drink your beer.
Mario kart is most definitely an indispensable title on the Switch and one of three games that I’d say is an absolute must have (alongside Zelda BOTW and the Overcooked series). The game provides hours of fun for all ages and is very easy to pick up and put down making it a great impromptu way to kill time. If you own a nintendo switch already and haven’t picked up this title yet I strongly recommend that you do.
Bought it on the Wii U, yet the game was so good that not only was a purchase on the switch perfectly justifiable, the added functionality of the switch enriches the multiplayer experience so much that it’s a must-buy. A game as good as this deserves its new home on switch, and being able to throw a controller to a friend anytime you have the chance provides a consistently enjoyable experience of play as a go-to game, as well as introduction to anyone for what this console is capable of.
Hey, it's Mario Kart, what's not to like. It's latest iteration has a whole load more circuits and mods for your chosen mode of tearing around the course. I also love the feature of being able to play online with my children half way around the world but that I can beat them anyway.
My 5yo son played Mario Kart at someone's house and loved it. He came begging for a Switch. We held out as long as we could but Santa brought him a Switch and Mario Kart Deluxe. This is a great first game and simple enough for a child 4+. That being said, there is enough variation in speeds, race courses, etc. that it will keep an older child or adult engaged as well.
I’ve played Mario kart on the DS and Wii and have enjoyed them. This is no exception. I love the course design and the number of courses available to cost from, the gameplay, the power items available in game. It’s also a great game to play on multi player
This game is fantastic. It’s almost the sole reason we got a switch. Fantastic family kid friendly game. Hours of fun to be had. Nintendo has done a great job turning a classic into a modern updates experience.
