When you're living with crippling insecurities developed by the people who are supposed to have your back your entire life. When your family are the voices whispering your fears how do you take the leap of faith and accept that someone loves you for you? That your feelings are not unrequited. Kennedy is a strong woman with her confidence constantly shredded by her family. She's the girl who deserves the happily ever after. Tucker's the man who has all the confidence and none of the pain Kennedy has had to suffer. He struggles to understand how she could suffer the way she has. He struggles to break through the screaming voices of her family and make her understand that she is incredible in so many ways. Kennedy is so relatable and I'm pretty sure If I found my Tucker I would struggle just the same but my heart exploded by the end with happiness for them. They're real and they're lovable. Definitely a fantastic read.
I have read, and loved, all of Holly Renee's books and this one is no different; I was hooked from the very first page. Kennedy is such a great character; she is so hurt by her families constant battering on her self-esteem that she doubts everything she does and every one she meets. I HATE her family! They make my blood boil and tears fall from my eyes, they are so unsupportive and critical; it is very sad.
Tucker... I love him. He can be my new book husband; he can whisper sweet, filthy things in my ear any time he likes. I love his family and friends too. In fact, I really think some 'research ' needs to be done and I should go and check out every single one of Tucker's friends. Yes I do.
I got all the feels in this book along with lots of chuckles and tears. Well done Holly, another winner.
