When I first set up my Smart Home, I never thought I’d be looking at a physical switch - smart tech is all about voice control and apps - right? Well yes, but then comes the ease of use - while apps and voice work well, this switch just does what it should.
No need to flick through your phone, ask a certain command etc ... just hit on / off or brightness up / down and you’re controlling your Hue lights !
While this may seem old fashioned, the beauty of this switch is being able to control multiple lights on one switch - for example, I have 3 lights in my living space plus two behind my TV - 5 in total. With the switch I can easily program it to control all five at once, no need to walk round and flip separate switches!
Set up a couple of these around your home and you can control each room separately, without having to open the app.
You can also stick the switch to the wall (as in my photo) or remove and use as a remote (which also has a magnet built in)
These light switches are great. Simple and easy to set up and use. However, at times when I press the on or off button, there is no response. Not sure if what part of the system is glitchy...my ADLS1 internet, the switch or the app. They do work 9 times out of ten and still happy with my purchase.
These can be mounted anywhere you want, multiple different ways supplied. Or you can lift the switch out & use it like a remote. Like most things Philips it can be programed etc to do different things not just on /off.
