I love post-apoc fiction, so coming across this book, especially as it's set in my home town was great. The main characters were well-written and interesting and I loved some of the Australian-isms thrown in. The setting of the survivor's town was unique and well thought out. Overall, a great read - my only complaint was the wait until the next chapter.
I am always a sucker for an end-of-life-as-we-know-it story, and this one delivers. Great to see it set in my home town of Melbourne and watch the characters adjust to their apocalypse, which still seems remarkably polite and inclusive. Can't wait for the next instalment.
