I really loved this book, Wow, what a book! Not only was it fun and sweet and sexy, but it covered bullies and loving someone unconditionally and of course how sometimes men get things wrong over and over again. Poor Ali, she really had been dealt the short sticks of life for a while, running from the bullies and letting them get the best of her. Marcus is an amazing alpha male with blinders on to some of the packs bias and hate for half breeds. he had vulnerabilities and didn’t always make the wisest decisions - but with Ali at his side, they were great! Carly was a great best friend and sister and I’d love to see her get a book, too!
4.5 stars. Loses half a star due to Marcus. A good read and interesting characters. Ali is Mensa intelligent and has just been offered a job with NASA on the Mars project. She cannot wait to leave her bigoted pack even if it means leaving Marcus, whom she has had a crush on since childhood. As a half blood human and wolf shifter she has been denigrated and abused by most of the pack her whole life. Marcus becomes the new alpha but both he and his father are blinkered as to how awful the pack really is with their behaviour. I loved this story and how strong Ali was even though she thought she wasn’t. She is able to defend herself quite well but when Marcus is harmed she really wolfs out. Marcus wasn’t a great alpha to me as he had been busy being a manwhore and only really started to mature once he realised Ali was his mate several months prior. He was still being stupid in his actions towards Ali. With Ali by his side I believe he will be a very good alpha but will be struggling to bring that pack of bigots into modern times. Loved the proposal, how unique. I can’t wait till Carly gets her story. This is my honest review if this book.
