This was great, a lot of wacky cheerful fun. But, I'm getting tired of Zara being a doormat. Chet, Charlize et al - they used her and her family. They keep secrets from her, even though it seems they don't need to, just out of prejudice. They and DWM treat her like she is less than them. It's frustrating that she keeps forgiving them without doing anything about it. After everything they've all done, all the lies they've told, wouldn't a normal person say "Enough! Treat me like your equal or walk." I really hope Zara gains a backbone in the next book. I'm enjoying the series and Zoey was my favourite character, but who can resist a snarky wyvern? Sorry Zoey. =)
This is the latest in a series I thoroughly enjoy reading. The books are light hearted, easy to read and well written. Even the "magic" seems plausible within the context of the books. I read a wide range of genres, but have a strong liking for good easy to read books, which I turn to after reading something a bit "Heavy" or "Dark". (I am also a fan of the "Stormy Days" books by this author, which are also easy to read). I certainly recommend this series, however with this proviso. They should be read in order to fully appreciate them. Looking forward to the next one.
I love all the books in the series but this was probably my favourite. The characters of Zara, Zoe,Zinnia and now another Z (but I won't spoil the surprise) are all whacky and fun. I defy you to read these and not end up using floopy-doop as a swear word or shouting 'doorbell!' every time the doorbell rings. Tremendous lift-hearted fun...with the odd bit of murder and mayhem thrown in.
This is another great read from Angela Pepper. I have read all the Wisteria Witches books now and I'm gagging to read the next installment. The characters are well written and there are plenty of moments in the book that made me chuckle. I would highly recommend this series of books.
