Effective, with a few minor considerations, but overall good

As a starter it's solid, has a stonking big battery, and works nicely.
The module block that connects the starter cables is a bit awkward, and contains the relay for protection (so it's needed) but works fine.
The torch button is a pain in the bum! It uses a flat button that's easily pressed when carrying the unit, so it turns on unexpectedly. It also has the complete waste-of-time feature of an 'SOS' flash sequence. I mean really? Do they think I'm going to be stuck on Everest with this thing? Just give me a conventional on/off switch.
But... it does what it's advertised to do. It's perfect for storing in the back of the car for emergencies (yours or someone else's), and I carry it around over winter in my backpack for the motorbike.
Some reviews criticized the alligator clips only having contacts on one side, but the new units have proper double-edged copper clips.
