A good set of essential oils for oil diffusers
2 October 2018
I have been using lavender oil from Thursday Plantation for my Oil Diffuser for three months now. At this point, I think to myself, "Why don't I try out some new flavoured essential oil?" and so, I brought this product when I find the reviews from customers to be promising.
I have to give points on the overall presentation of the package. The smooth leather-like material does well in giving an impression of a premium product. I also like the inside too, with all six oils neatly organised in their storage compartment. What I noticed, unfortunately, was how odd it was to remove the essential oil from its packaging. I either had to use my nail to claw them out or ironically, flip the box over to get it. It seems as if Lagunamoon has focused on aesthetics rather than functionality.
Moving on, we have frankincense, lavender, lemon, rosemary, tea tree and peppermint oil, all clearly labelled and displayed, so you know which one is which.
To get a clear idea of how strong the scent is, I'll be using the ASAKUKI 700mL Premium Essential Oil Diffuser, which I had reviewed before. At first, I thought the oil would do it in single drops, instead, it decided to do 10+ drops in a second. Wasn't sure if it was intended to do that, but it reminds me to carefully tilt the bottle next time, yet even doing so only decrease the drop by a small margin. Quite disappointing.
After getting through that problem and testing all the six essential oil, most of them smell good. The scent is noticeable and isn't too overwhelming. However, peppermint smells noticeably weak and doesn't have that recognisable taste that I'm used too. Whether or not, I wished it was stronger and more natural. My personal favourite is rosemary and lavender (obviously), due to the pleasant natural scent it produces. Although the lavender oil from Lagunamoon won't entirely replace Thursday Plantation's alternative, thanks to their more natural and stronger scent, I'll use it as a backup in case the latter runs out.
For its price, it seems fair for what it has to offer, considering how cheap it is when compared to other essential oils in the market. The scent is pleasant too and will do just fine with any Oil Diffuser you currently use. If you're looking into getting yourself some new essential oil for your recently brought Essential Oil Diffuser, or just to refill, this product is for you (If you can get over the problems such as removing the oil out of the tight box and ignoring the "dropping too much oil" issue of course).
Generally satisfied with it.
