I've recently read a few fostering memoirs-three of them have been by Cathy Glass-I have yet to read a bad book by her. I love her writing style, they're such easy books to read, despite the often difficult circumstances.
I didn't realise before that foster carers have to keep a daily log of everything to do with their charges. Cathy Glass has been fostering for quite a number of years and is able to tell of her wide variety of experiences via these detailed logs-what a great vehicle to use to write a memoir with. Of course, it's how she writes it all down, how she puts it over to the reader that makes her books such amazing, and uplifting reads. There are many unexpected happenings and the books usually leave you with a satisfying resolution. Another wonderful read.
