Im really loving this mew series by laramie Briscoe. A bunch of bad ass alpha cops looking to bring down a family of moonshine makers in a small town . The behind the scenes action with their eye's on the prize.. their women. . Havoc was a good read and i loved that Leighton got her happily ever after.
Another excellent book. I have read all 5 and I am actually onto the final book Cruise. It’s a shame this is the last in the series. They are so light to read and I just love the author too. All of her series of stories I’ve read so far I can’t put down!!
This series just gets better and better, I really enjoyed everything about it and continued to learn a little more about moonshine!
Havoc, or Holden as he's christened, is a thirty-six year old leader in the Moonshine Task Force as well as an officer for his local police department. He has always been fascinated by Leighton, even though she is the daughter and granddaughter of illegal moonshine distillers and sellers. He offers her a chance to escape that world but what the future holds is still uncertain.
Holden is a hot alpha male who I'd gladly like to meet in real life, yummo! He has high morals and a code of ethics he lives by that enables him to be the leader he is at work and with friends.
Leighton has such a big heart, it's a wonder she turned out as well...ah I love fiction! However, it does mimic real life and there are some awful 'real life' moments that really make you sit up and take notice in this tale. You can't help but become invested in the emotions throughout the book.
This fast paced story is super easy to read but my only complaint is I finished it! Bring on book 4!
Havoc is my new favourite in the Moonshine Task Force series. It's one of those books that compel you to read everything ever written by the author. I had already read most of Heaven Hill's series & since finishing Havoc I've read Red Bird Trail trilogy (a must read) & am now reading Rockin' Country series (mmmmm Reaper). Add Havoc to your library, you definitely won't be disappointed.
Havoc by Laramie Briscoe is yet another truly great read. I'm giving this 4.5 stars as the marriage of convenience got me slightly confused... A great read overall and could be read as a stand a lone but best enjoyed if you read in order.
