Wow another great addition to the series. This one was a little different from the rest as it has a human as the heroine and I have to admit I was a little worried she wouldn't be able to hold her own amongst them but for me Gwen was certainly the star. She was so courageous, smart and ballsy and I loved her snarky one liners and comebacks! She was intent on doing the right thing no matter who she had to shoot at or confront. Zander was a quieter pack member so I was looking forward to learning all his secrets, he had a bit of a different relationship with his wolf where he wasn't looking for his mate and it could be explained by his childhood experiences. It was so great to see Gwen and Zander lower their walls and learn to trust one another, they had such great chemistry from the start and the steamy scenes were off the charts good! Loved all the usual and new secondary characters and I'm really looking forward to Bracken's story being told. We even got to see a couple of the Phoenix pack wolves help support the Mercury pack against the "bad guys". I will admit that the ghostly intervention in the healing of Gwen towards the end was a bit odd and I felt wasn't really needed. This author is on my one-click author list and I soak up all her shifter books!! Over all a great addition to the series and I look forward to the next one being released!
I really enjoyed getting to know more about Dander and getting to see a little bit of his softer side as he gets to know Gwen. I thought Gwen was a great character who fit in really well with the shifter pack. Can't wait for more in this series!
This story was a good one. As always The author thousand incredible job of taking you to a world that you could almost believe is real . It was good to see the mercury pack in a different environment away from their territory. Reading this 4 stars
An enjoyable read with a good plot. Makes me laugh that humans who behave like this call shifters animals. Liked Gwen, she was a fabulous heroine. Great how her family dynamic worked. Zander was great, loved how he and his wolf behaved. Love how this plays out and nice to see the shifter council actually acting in the correct way. Not sure why Gwen hadn’t told Julie about the creepy therapist. She is not helping her by not telling. Of course he plays into the story eventually. Know what happens to Ezra, Brandt and Nelson, just not absolutely sure what happened to the rotten mother Moira. Think Yvonne dealt with her but would have liked it clarified a bit more. I am reading these in the correct order, not series order. Read through KU whilst also flicking back and forth and listening to the audible version too. Very good narration which takes you along for the ride.
The Mercury Pack is back in a fast paced thrilling romance that kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Gwen and Zander are two wonderful characters that reached out and stole my heart with their vulnerable but fierce personalities. They both had tough exteriors that hid their tormented past and readers can certainly understand their views on life and empathize with the way they protected themselves. Gwen may be a human heroine but she has a loyal strong heart and attitude and she fits right in with both the Mercury Pack and the Phoenix Pack.
These characters easily captivate readers and ensure that they have to know the whole story, while the suspense builds throughout the story with lots of thrilling action and danger. The bad guys may be a bit typical with their hatred of anything or anyone different but they grab reader’s attention and hold tight because the reader wants to know what they will do next.
I look forward to each and every visit to either the Mercury or Phoenix Packs, because Suzanne Wright brings the characters and the world to brilliant life with well written words that ensure I get caught up in what’s happening and fall in love with the characters and my visit to packs was just as exciting this time as ever and I can’t wait to visit them again unfortunately it looks like I will be waiting impatiently until summer 2018 for my next visit, but I am sure I will quite satisfied with that visit as well.
