'Swear' has it all! Adriana Locke sure knows how to write great books filled with deep and genuine characters and a beautiful love story. Couple that with an irresistible but ever present family and you have a very special read. Even though part of a series it is a Standalone within a series. There is a HEA, No cheating & No cliffhanger - so rest assured you are safe!
Ford Landry and Ellie Pagan met years ago. They were inseparable (until they were seperated!) Having met in high school they were each other’s first everything's and had big plans for the future. Those plans were shattered when Ford enlisted and never looked back. When they were thrown together almost 10 years later, the scars remain and run deep and there is a great deal to answer for.
Ford hopes to earn her forgiveness and a second chance at their forever love, but understandably Ellie is afraid of getting hurt again. However the Landry men are persistent and he makes certain that Ellie knows that he’s serious, he makes it clear that she is still the only one for him.
While this was Ford's story, each Landry had a HUGE part to play in the book which made it so much richer and fun. It was just so emotional and perfect that I fell in love with Ford and Ellie!
Thank you for bringing us more of the meddling, but loving Landry family Adriana. Please give us more of your winning formula of heartbreak, humour, feel goods....once again a definite MUST read!!
Ford was Ellie's first love, and then he left and broke her heart. 10 years later, their lifes cross paths again. Ellie wants nothing to do with him, but Ford will do anything to have her again.
Swear is a beautifully written second chance story, that tugs on your heartstrings. Ford and Ellie are such great, strong characters, and you can feel the love between them. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow, and overcome Ellie's fears of him leaving. Ford is so understanding, patient and sweet with Ellie, and won't give up proving his love for her.
This book is well written and easy to read. It full of romance, heartbreak and tears, and a lot of laughter.
Adriana Locke has written such a amazing series with Landrys. It has become one of my favourite. They are all such different people, with very different story's to tell, yet they are all so close and supportive of one another, and I love reading about them. I can't wait to read Camillas story.
What's better than finding the love of your life? Having a second chance with that love... Ford is the brother that watches his other brothers fall in love and welcome the first Landry baby into the family all while wishing he he too could have that. He's the strong, military, quiet man of the family, but when he speaks people listen. Mallory his brothers partner, the girl his closet with decides to set him up without him knowing. Ford is stunned when he arrives at a business that needs a security plan in place before they open.
Ellie is loving being back home closer to her dad. She has spent almost 10 years trying to move on from her past, how she handles having it right in front of her no one not even herself knows.
The Landry series is a series that will make you swoon, laugh out loud and cry along with this amazing family! Adriana has an ability to draw you into to the world she creates and it makes you feel like your right there!
Ten years ago, when his relationship with his high school girlfriend was tested, Ford Landry wound up enlisting, and while he never went back, to suggest that he never looked back would be stretching the truth.
Perhaps since every other woman he's encountered over those falls short of his ideal, maybe his subconscious has been trying to tell him something all along.
Now, thanks to a little meddling from his family, Ellie Pagan has been thrust back into his life, and even though she's ready willing and able to freely throw words like 'hate' around, Ford's fought wars, surely fighting to win her back can't be that hard?
I've loved every single book in Adriana Locke's Landry Family series, yet to my mind, they just keep getting better and better.
Written as a standalone, Ford and Ellie's dual point of view story nevertheless builds upon the shared history established in the previous novels of the series, making it all the richer for those who've read them, but even foregoing that, i'd suggest that it's a great read.
One thing I loved was that, for a second chance romance, Swear avoids many of the tried and true tropes common to that sub-genre. Ford and Ellie burst forth from the page as fully realized characters each with their own agendas, and more importantly, at different stages in their lives, with Ford finally ready to settle down and Ellie? Not so much. Just when I'd get an inkling about where the story was going to go next, Adriana would change things up and surprise me.
Combing elements of humor and drama and all the emotions that come with lives beginning, ending and becoming entwined, this felt like the perfect way to round out the boys of the Landry family, and had me feeling all the feels.
Can't wait so see what's in store for the two youngest Landry's
When I knew we were getting Ford’s book I was so excited. I love this family and I love reading their stories. Ford’s story didn’t disappoint. The Landry men continue to blow me away.
From reading the previous books in this series and seeing Ford appear in those stories I always felt like I knew he had gotten his heart broken and now I know why. Elle is everything that Ford needs in his life.
Elle is a great heroine. She’s story and independent and it’s obvious that she cares deeply about the people she loves. I found her really relatable throughout the story and all these qualities made me fall in love with her.
Just as you can expect, Ford is a great hero like his brothers. He’s cocky but not as cocky as his brothers and he has a heart of gold. He’s a 100% nice guy that is easy to fall in love with. These two are so perfect for each other and it’s obvious throughout the book.
I had a range of emotions while reading this, I was laughing at some points and then crying at others. Adriana Locke has a way of making you feel all the emotions as the characters you’re reading are. She puts you right there in their story making you feel like you’re watching the story unfold before your eyes.
This story was low on the angst but that didn’t take anything away from it. I thought this was a beautiful story about soul mates that needed a second chance at love.
This is one of those books that drew me in so deep. I couldn’t put the book down and before I knew it I was on chapter 23 and sad that I was over halfway through because I just wanted more of these characters. I am so in love with Ford and Elle. Their story captured me.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves romance. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I’m dying to know the man that has captured Cam’s heart.

I always thought the distant, stoic, independent and down to earth Ford Landry might be the most alpha of the brothers and arguably, he is. However, he's also a big softy with a love of simple pleasures and he has a great, big heart. The whole series has been a good one with the four brothers, their partners and extended family being so tight knit, happy, loyal, cheeky, teasing and fun loving. Yet, all are flawed and vulnerable, making them relatable and appealing. Swear by Adriana Locke is a well-written, tender, hilarious, engaging, deep and steamy second chance romance. The dialogue and banter between all the characters is a delight. Right away, readers are thrust into the scenario of Ford's relentless pursuit of the girl he let slip through his fingers and the girl's equally determined mindset of, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Ford's target is the gorgeous Ellie Pagan. She was left emotionally sliced up years earlier by none other than our hero. Hence, she has major issues with trusting and taking risks with other men who show her interest. Nevertheless, Ellie is a strong woman who has ambitions and is not afraid of hard work. Swear is equally as good as all the other Landry books and some readers may feel it's the best so far. I highly recommend it to others who have followed the series or readers who are new to Adriana's narratives. Next, the sister's stories will unfold...can't wait!
I was just completely thrilled to finally receive the fourth series of The Landry Family. Written by the amazing, Adrianna Locke. I have just loved every single book so far of this most brilliant romantic series ever. I was so excited about this nicest edition about Ford Landry this time. I know I will never be able to put this book down once. Such the sweetest book to love forever.
Ford Landry who was strong independent Military. He was gorgeous, sweet a total wonderful man. Although now his brother, Graham decided he needed someone else in his brother's life now.
I adored this most wonderful romantic masterpiece. Such a perfect most enjoyable love story. Another complete winner from the brilliant author Adrianna Locke!! Can't wait to read Swink's book nest!!
Before you know it, you've finished the book and wish you could move straight on to the next Laundry Sibling. Ellie's friends are the greatest and so funny. Ford is so straight forward from the first moment he sees Ellie again, I thought what a cool, no nonsense guy. I love the family dynamics as well over the entire series. By the way, about time Barrett married Alison lol.
A second chance at love for Ford and Ellie, and it was everything I have come to expect from this series plus more! This story had me crying, which I havent done in the other books, but the emotion was so real for me. This is a beautiful story from such a strong author. Now on to number 5!
