Black Hills Legacy is the tenth book in Debra Salonen's Hollywood Meets The Real Wild West series but is also part of the multi-author Inheritance series. It is easy to read and enjoyable in its own right though reading other books in either series will help with context. Debra Salonen is one of those trustworthy authors who always delivers a good story and she certainly met my expectations with this one. The pace was fast and there were plenty of plot twists to keep me interested. This story hinges around the South Dakota town of Sentinal Pass, home to the TV show Sentinal Passtime. The focus is on Robyn Craine, new owner of The Mystery Spot and recipient of a sizeable inheritance from billionaire Harold Hopewell after her mother's death. Love interest Liam Temple is a star in the show and son of wealthy developer and would be politician Richard Marston, who wants a block of land that Robyn has recently bought. All the characters in this story are well developed and believable and I couldn't help but cheer on Liam and Robyn as they worked out how to have a life together. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
