BEWARE: I bought this phone and it asked me for network unlock code. This was unexpected as the seller advertised it a unlocked phone. I reached out to seller but instead of helping us out objectively the seller seemed it fit to brag about never having such errors in thousands of phones they sold so far.my follow ups did not get any attention. I ended up paying $40 to unlock the phone from my pocket. Ensure you factor in such a scenario when you buy. I bought this phone for a network in India and it kept asking me feel r network unlock code
I doubled check with 2 different Straight Talk customer service rep's and they ran the IMEI# - this phone is 100% INCOMPATIBLE with Straight Talk BYOP (bring your own phone) Sim Kit. Buyers beware!! Have your service provider run the IMEI# before you purchase!
According to Straight Talk: Factory unlocked GSM phones will work with AT&T or T-Mobile BYOP Sim Kit Not sure why this one doesn't..
I purchased this phone last year, and it never worked as I wanted. When I contacted Amazon a while back to return it altogether, I was told that it was too late. But recently, it was working poorly enough that I brought it to be fixed. When the cellphone repair company opened the phone, they discovered that this was a refurbished phone, as opposed to a new phone as I thought I had bought. (They said that there were stickers on each part, showing where it had come from.) The fact that it's refurbished is especially problematic as the repair shop said that the main problem is the antenna; and a refurbished antenna is very difficult and expensive to fix/replace. Given this information, I demand a refund from the seller. It's one thing to miss the return date; it's something else altogether when we find out - a year later - that the item was not what was originally promised. Buyer beware.
I am writing this review late because of two reasons, This phone was a gift for my dad and it took me a while to get this to him since we live in different countries secondly, I wanted to give some time before I conclude something. So when I bought this phone, it worked well for the first time when tested. after a month(by which return window was closed), I gifted it to my dad, in the first two weeks only it stopped working. I got this phone back to the USA for repairing it (realized it was not under USA warranty) , spent some bucks repaired it, and sent it back to my dad. again after a few weeks, it stopped working and the technician in that country said, the motherboard might be the problem.. after all these, my dad bought a new phone for himself. and nothing can be done now. Never buying phones from any seller online.
I bought this phone as a present to my family member who lives abroad. And as an international version I was expecting it to have more languages available, but it wasn’t the case and I couldn’t find this information either. Also the confusing part was the stickers on the screen which were saying you have to call somewhere to activate the phone when actually you bought unlocked phone. Everything worked without it but it just a confusion. However, phone is working fine, overall I’m satisfied with this purchase.
