Battle Mage was a phenomenal story that was riveting, fast paced and a book you just can't put down. As re follow the story you will become invested in the characters. At time it brought tears to my eyes as I became so wrapped up in their lives. If you need a book to keep you interested then this is for you. I can't wait to see what Peter Flannery writes next, as he easily matched the likes of Duncan Hamilton 'The Wolf of the North series'.

This book certainly lived up to its rave reviews. I enjoy good fantasy and this was a great read. It was gripping and the characters realistic. While the narrative was enthralling the battle scenes were a bit too harrowing but never off putting. Best fantasy read since George .R.R!!

As someone who devours books, it is extremely rare that I give 5 stars in a review, but this book is masterly. The story line is excellent and the perils are almost anxiety provoking. I had to stop reading it at night as it kept me up to 2 am with raging battles and nail biting suspense!
I am greatly looking forward to more books about Wrath.

I honestly could not put this book down, the story kept moving and dragging me with it. The characters were all very well thought out and complemented each other. If you want a book that will take you to another world then I would highly recommend this book. Just be aware you will have many sleepless nights.

This story kept me firmly in it's grip. It is riveting right to the end. I am surprised it has not been made into a movie. As I was reading I could picture in detail the action as it was taking place. It gives a great account of friendship, love and faith. Good overcomes evil and an eduring strength prevails.

For only the second time in as many years ive been motivated to provide a 5 star review. The last time was for Blood Song . Yes, this book really is that good. Well written, no writing errors, lengthy but worth reading every page.

Book was a great read. Although fairly predicable in some parts the characters are well developed and it is easy to merge with the group and feel part of the story. Story is fast paced and keeps you engaged from start to end. For once I was hoping this was book one of a Trilogy

This was great fun! The unfolding drama is set beautifully against a well developed world with vivid characters reacting to the power of the history bearing down on them. Netflix! Netflix, TV series, I say!
