This was the first book l read by Heather Shere!! The title and cover is what made me want to read this!! And what a gorgeous and sweet story this was!! Love the way that Sophia and Bo came together, it was heart warming!! Oh and Triton the dog was a hit for me!!
This book was so sweet and a fun read. I went into this book not knowing what to expect, but while reading I just felt happiness and refreshed throughout it. We are introduced to sweet, kind, beautiful and straight talking Sophia who has moved into a small country town after some tragedy and to fulfil a dream she always wanted. Due to a mishap, she happens to meet the sexy, closed off and unpredictable high school football coach Bo, sparks fly and undeniable attraction occurs. Problems arise and insecurities continue to surface which cause fractures between Sophia and Bo. When all is said and done, is Sophia willing to continue to fight for what her and Bo share? Can Bo get his act together before its all too late?? And can this book be any more sweeter?? Sophia's character was refreshing, she had everything together, she was sweet and kind and she said what she wanted to say, she was strong. Bo, even though he was a bit immature, he was strong, kind and loyal. If you are looking for a sweet, light hearted read, with a touch of drama and a whole lot of sexy chemistry, then this book is for you. Great work Heather :)

Excellent debut book & smoking hot cover I really enjoyed this sweet read from a new author. Well written with plenty of laughs, great dialogue and great chemistry. This is a sweet small town romance and I would definitely recommend to friends
A lovely little book about a sassy easy going woman and a slightly neurotic issue ridden male. Sophia moves to town bringing her own brand of sweet with her. With her large slightly unruly dog she bring a bit of drama and sunshine wherever she goes. Meeting Judy the vet in town gives her a very special friendship that adds previously unknown depth to her life. Bo carries the guilt of his actions 10 yrs ago. He avoids relationships, animals and making any lasting connections of any kind. That is until Triton refused to be ignored. Bo is already struggling with the spark between him and Sophia and Tritons interference only continues to push them together.
Honey Bee by Heather Shere a sweet and sugar filled five-star read. I have had this book on my TBR pile for ages, I kept thinking I wanted to read it but never getting around to it, I am now going to go buy everything from this woman. Heather Shere you are an amazing writer. This book was sweet and funny and full of witty one liners, I am a massive dog lover so the fact there were amazing dogs in this story didn’t hurt. Bo Smith made one mistake and he hasn’t been able to forgive himself ever since, he has a good life as a high school athletics coach, he doesn’t date or do animals but that hasn’t stopped him from having plenty of female company. Some would say he’s like a strong, beautiful flower ripe for the picking, but for his fear of commitment he would be the perfect man. As the story develops so does the story of Bo, and his reasons behind why he avoids commitment and animals, he slowly unfurls and his true colours show. When a pretty little Honey Bee catches his eye, he starts to change but will it be enough. The pretty Honey Bee in question is new to the town, her life is full of changes and this new challenge is just another thing she will face, she takes life as it comes and lets fate take its run for her. Life is simple for Sophia Brown, she has her dog King Triton and a luscious garden that is slowly being filled with the things she needs to keep her busy. Including bees to make the honey that she puts in everything to make her life a little sweeter. Sparks will fly and hearts will flutter, but will there be a sting in the Honey Bees tale?
This was my first time I've read a Heather Shere book and i can say i was drawn right into this story really quickly. Sophie is new to town and after needing help to get her dog Triton to the emergency get she gets help from Bo who is the local PE teacher and is based working in the school close by. Bo likes to keep everyone at a distance after believing that he doesn't deserve to be happy.. and that no-one should get to see him happy after blaming himself for a tragedy in his families past. The main character in this story and I think he steals the show is Tritan.. he is amazing and manages to cause many LOL scenes throughout this book. Well written fab story.
What a excellent story. It had me laughing out load as well asa little teary eyed. I downloaded a sample of this book as I can usually tell within the first couple of chapter if it's a book for me. I didn't get that far before I was clicking the purchase button. It's so well written with heart soul and humour. Just a perfect heart warming tale that leaves you feeling good. A must read.
Summary: Love can be as sweet as honey, or it can sting like a bee.
Bo Smith knows that if you go looking for honey, you get stung, so he has his life just how he wants it. No hassles, no complications, and no heartache. As the handsome high school athletics coach, he would be the pick of the small town he grew up in... if he was into commitment, or dating...or even calling back. But he has sworn off anything resembling a future and his mind isn't going to change.
Then his eyes lock on the new girl in town...She’s beautiful, intelligent, and full of surprises. Just the kind of complication he has been avoiding.
Sophia Brown is looking for the sweet simple life. She has it all planned out. Getting used to life alone isn't easy, but she has her garden, her bees, and her dog Triton to tend to. It's the fresh start she's been dreaming of, surrounded by nothing but open fields to stare at all day.
Nothing at all...unless you count the high school football team and their distractingly handsome coach, practicing right across the street.
When sparks fly, Bo must choose between the sting of his past or the sweetness of the future. He may just find that honey tastes good on everything.
What I loved: The premise of this story is original. I loved the chemistry between Bo and Sophia instantly. But I have to say, I loved that it wasn’t a tug of war between them in a way. Their hearts were both in it, but neither one wanted to confront their feelings until they were forced to sort themselves out. Triton, Sophia’s dog, is such an important part to this story. It’s a true testament to how pets can heal broken spirits and really are a person’s best friend.
What I didn’t love: Sigh. It’s always that these boos end. Why do they have to end?
Overall: This was such a quick, easy, unique read. Heather Shere is well on her way to becoming an auto-click for me. I am excited to see what else she comes out with. Her details and dialogue were on point and kept me engaged in what was happening in the story. The secondary characters also offered a level of depth and their own unique story that I wasn’t expecting. It was a pleasant surprise.
It all started with a spark that ignited a fire that created a slow burn that seared their hearts together.
There are romantic comedies and then there is Honey Bee. This book is laugh out loud funny, so funny that I needed to use my inhaler and needed to tinkle! With the laughs, there was also needing a box of Kleenex.
Bo Smith, he'll make you mad at first and you just want to spank him and pull his hair, but, you know that he is a doll, it just takes a little while for the Honey Bear to appear, and when he does, look out. He does go back into hibernation for a bit and once again you will want to scream at him...but, he is a swoony, hunky high school football coach with a heart of gold.
Then there is Sophia. A beautiful, smart, ambitious self starting beehive keeper who makes her own soaps and aromatherapy products. She's a smart cookie who loves her new home in a new town that she shares with her beloved Bernese mountain dog King Triton.
Triton steals the hearts of everyone he meets, with the exception of Bo. He's quite the character and he's worthy of his own story based on his adventures!
Triton became the new found hope that gave Bo the strength to begin the journey to forgive himself for the tragedy that put him on the sidelines to his sister and brother in law's life.
This story has so many endearing moments and I can't recommend this book enough! It's truly buzz worthy of 10 stars!
