Goodness what an action filled book I wanted to make it last but in the end just had to keep reading. LJ Ross writes fantastic books.
DCI Ryan has to cope with the escape of serial killer "The Hacker" from jail whose first act is to kidnap DI Denise MacKenzie. DS Philips and DI MacKenzie are an item so it's even more personal. Now Kier Edwards starts to come after Anna and DCI Ryan.
It is obvious that LJ Ross loves the Northumberland countryside and provides plenty of descriptions of the scenery, buildings, culture, and people, You can be there.
Also spot on are the insights to mental issues and peoples emotional responses. A very tightly written package that ends abruptly with the usual conundrums. This book will appeal to a range of readers from action thrillers through to police procedural. I enjoyed the ride and look forward to more.
