To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Changing to from ONE to FIVE star, for those who couldn't play if before and only black screen coming up when opening app, try again. I think the new software update for fire tablets allows the game to actually run on them now, was only able to play on my android phone when downloading the amazon appstore on it. Was able to transfer over my game data through the games cloud storage from my phone if there were any others like me who did the phone. Also tip when doing the cloud storage, for me anyway on my android phone, when the tablet asks for storage type do the one that says not recommended, was the only way I could get my android phone data over to my tablet. No issues or problems and game runs smoothly and just the same as on my phone
You only get a black screen when you download this onto a Fire 10 HD. I've tried to download FFIX on internal and external memory with no success. Unfortunately, this game appears to only work on Android devices which was something I missed before purchase.
Amazon needs to be like Android and restrict buying/downloading apps to devices that do not have the required operating system when viewing the app.
The app publisher recently made an update that made a world of difference with the 8th and 10th gen HD8 devices. They can now play the game and so far it plays without issue. I did see a dialog scene hang once (conde petie village) but otherwise it's been playable without any issues. The game itself is chock full of side quests and once you get a handle on efficiently killing the grand dragon early on, you can level up like nobody's business and make the questing part more enjoyable.
The only device I have issues with this game on is a Nokia 8.3 device running Android 11. Past the initial install, the app goes into a continuous re-launch death spiral and never gets a chance to unpack itself. But the fact that it's now playable on all our kindle fire tablets makes up for this one annoyance.
Prior to the recent update (<1.4.10): It seems that none if the kindle fire devices have enough RAM to run this game. I have a couple older HD8 Gen 8 tablets and I get an insufficient RAM message when I try to launch it. It launches on a HD8 6th Gen but scene transitions take forever and sometimes the app will hang during an interactive scene (no walking around/fighting but dialog going on between characters that you manually advance through)
When I try to launch if from the HD8 plus, I just get a black screen like most of the one star reviewers get. I believe the 3GB RAM in the 8 plus ought to be enough but the publisher appears to be a but mum on hardware requirements. According to the play store, the only requirement listed is Android 4.1, so I guess there is something in the way Amazon customized Android 9, etc. for FireOS that bricks the app. (Their on screen keyboard is crap, compared to Gboard and Swiftkey, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least that there is something wrong with the OS itself).
I downloaded this game on my one plus 6T running oxygen OS10.3.7 and it runs like a champ. On first launch, it will expand itself out (kind of like the install packages you download and install on a PC. Then it will run like it should, provided you meet whatever unpublished system requirements the app has.
I really wish the publisher would work with Amazon to iron out the kinks because this is a really enjoyable game.
I was looking forward to playing this one on the updated fire tablets but when I start it up all I get is a black screen ....I waited long to see something but no good ,if it could be fully optimized for the updated tablets that would be great 😕
