This book is very different to anything that ive read before that unlike most books, its interesting and gets to the point. It reads alot like a movie in that there is absolutely no filler scenes. Ive read The Witcher books, for example that have alot of scenes where characters just aren't doing very much and just standing around talking. WSTGFF however has scenes and dialogue only where it is important to do so. By the book being self standing each scene starts and ends with the reader being fulfilled and not WAITING for the next scene.
Other than that of course i cant remember really where the humour was (if any) it was just a really solid story about a guy in a screwed up situation.
The characters were few, and memorable also; very good choices.
A very good book by Ben having never read any of his previous one's because i thought starting later after he had had some experience would be good. Gonna go back and read mogworld soon though. Books like this are good for getting into reading.
