Loved "The Kommandant's Girl" so tried "The Orphan's Tale" also by Pam Jenoff.
The heroine, Noa, is rejected by her parents after becoming pregnant to a German soldier. Her life changes after she discovers a train carriage filled with unaccompanied infants heading for a concentration camp. She rescues one of the Jewish boys and protects and nurtures him. Noa meets Astrid, an acrobat in a circus and the book centres around the trio's struggle to remain alive during the Second World War.
This book is not to be missed.
