Brilliant writing as you would expect from RS. In the end he admits he just didn't get it - wrapped up in the self-delusionary smugness of the press. It was obvious of course that Republican voters had had a gut full of the Beltway deals. But he doesn't realise just how much he didn't get it. From the distance of another country it was obvious that the outcome was predetermined - any amateur assessing where the US economy had gone, how corporations had plundered middle America and the blindness of the Dems to all of this gave the election to Trump. Recommended, a great read.
Who would have believed that Donald Trump Would have won the election AND be very very Entertaining at the same time ??? I enjoyed reading This book and look forward to another 5 years of Donald J. Trump
Interesting perspective from Matt Taibbi in his "Insane Clown President..." Further insight from "How Donald Trump Won the 2016 Presidential Election and Disarrayed the Political Establishment" sheds more light on the subject of Donald Trump's victory and his likely course for the USA. There are so many books out there on Trump, but few can really say what his presidency would be like.
Excellent analysis of the circumstances that gave rise to Trump. What I found more interesting than the endless fu#c%ery of politicians was the authors excellent framing of not just the how, but more interestingly the why which is more worrying. Embrace the new hate!
