Fast paced and passionate

The book starts off with a stranger gate crashing into the Spindle Cove Christmas Officer's Ball and dropping to the feet of Miss Violet Winterbottom. From there, the pace does not let up. Neither does the passionate interchanges between the main characters. Not just in terms of sexual passion, but there is a lot of emotional passion as well.
The book was written in Tessa's trademark humourous, witty and engaging style and drew me in from the first page to the last. Sure, it was only a novella and lots of details were left out, as well as containing improbable scenarios, but I found the whole story thoroughly enjoyable. It was a good length for a couple of hours time-out from the stresses of the day.
Lastly, I fell in love with Christian. He was just perfect! Check him out for yourself!
