Feel like this should have been titled - The Kidnapped Club. This was a running theme in this part two trilogy in the series. The author got herself into a rut and never got out of it - bad stuff happening, divide into groups, one group gets kidnapped, Yelena or Valek believe the other is dead and wring their hands, find out otherwise, plan a daring escape, rescue, night of love, must divide into groups, one group gets kidnapped..... and again and again... and again. Every time I picked up this book it was a struggle to remember which group was currently kidnapped and why. It made the plot a little plodding, a lot predictable and more than a little tiresome as I rolled my eyes yet again as the plan went haywire and someone just got themselves kidnapped - really surprised I didn't give myself eye strain. Sigh - whilst this world is interesting the author isn't bringing enough depth or imagination to the plot anymore.
