A formula book written like a bad soap opera
16 November 2017
Terrible! Full of clichéd writing and Stilted. Sentences. With. Fullstops. Inbetween. Words.
I inwardly groaned and rolled my eyes at the end of practically every chapter. For example:
“I know Brody’s a good cop, but this time he has to be wrong.”
Or was he? Lance wondered how well Morgan really knew Nick. And for that matter, how well did anyone really know their neighbors and what went on behind closed doors?
Or from the end of the chapter from the killer:
As long as he lived, he’d have needs.
Needs someone would have to meet.
It was like watching the end of a bad soap each time a chapter ended. I had hoped the book would get better, but unfortunately it didn't. This book was written by formula and it showed.
