Silver Flame is the game changer for this series, allies are lost and new alliances are made.
With Fen's heritage and past actions being brought into the open, there is a shortage of safe places for them to hide. The Black Lotus becomes their sanctuary while they recover from their injuries and devise a plan to retake Stonehill from Levi.
Returning to Inferna, Dean gives Fen and Ari refuge while she trains with Varis.
Story-wise, there is a lot in this book, the druids play a major part, as well has the suffering on all sides, vampire, fae and shade.
I enjoyed reading this even though I will admit, I took a bit longer than normal to finish it. It was a lot darker than its predecessors.
I look forward to seeing how the story unfolds in book four.
I have been eagerly waiting for Silver Flame to be released. There are lots of twists and turns and it is full of suspense. Ari is in more danger than ever before, while also creating more problems in her need to find out more about her role as the Midnight Star, We meet Tavian Grey, and find out what has happened to some of the older characters from the previous books. It definitely does not disappoint. My only wish is that it was longer!!
Oh gosh the juice jus keeps on coming. This is cerrainly the darkest book so far. My hate for Levi and Lucian knows no bounds. Arianna still has so much self discovery to go. What a fabulous twist with Kayla. And a fantastic cliff hanger. Onto the next book, I pray for happy endings
Can't wait to read the next book. This series is amazing, the characters are funny and believable, the writing is good and the plot keeps you hooked. I may not sleep tonight, I have to read the next one.
•••NOT for the transphobic, homophobic or closed minded•••
This series must be read in order. The first book is Vampire Girl. The second book is Midnight Star. This is the third book. I can't wait to read the next one!
Ariana fought and killed the Fire Druid to protect Fenris. Now she is being called a traitor for her High Fae blood even though she has killed her own in defense of the Vampires. Almost everyone seems intent on using her to achieve their own ends... Or they just want to destroy her for the simple sin of existing. Treachery and deceit seem to be the coin of this realm. Why do they seem to no longer care about fulfilling the Contract? Can she survive a Trial? Or will she end up dead before it can even start? Will her mother languish in Hell for all eternity? Are her friends safe on Earth? Will she ever see them again? Who can she trust?
***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy dark modern fantasy with plenty of intrigue and quite a bit of horror along with all the mystery, action, adventure, suspense, and magic with a dash of romance :)
Wow. This series just gets better and better. The plots, twists and turns make this one hell of a book and one I couldn't put down. I never see the plot changes coming at the end and it never ceases to make me groan in frustration when it comes to the end. This book has opened up to more of the characters and backgrounds and draws in the readers with every turn of the page. Can't wait for the next book to come
