I loved this book! Lee Bartlett's motivation for selling is not my motivation but if you want to learn what it takes to start at the bottom and work your way to the top in sales - this is the book. The author is open about what drives him - maximisation of his earnings - for his personal best interest. If that is not your primary driver there is still a lot to learn from this book - including how to manage and work with salespeople like Lee Bartlett. (You might also learn that you will never be a #1 best seller...)
This is an easy read because its the author's personal story - confirming my view that the best salespeople are storytellers. You will learn a lot from it. Highly recommended. Mike Adams Author, Seven Stories Every Salesperson Must Tell
I've read plenty of sales books over the years, but none that have reinforced the basics of the "whole-sales rep".
From selecting the right company to ensuring you have the right comp plan, what to negotiate on when joining, how you negotiate, network, put your competition off the game and beyond! it's a great short read and certainly one I didn't want to put down.
