Well researched and an entertaining read

Dan Brown’s latest novel again features Professor Robert Langdon on the run and up against a variety of mysterious foes - or is he?
The usual historical links in Brown’s novels is complemented in Origins by a strong and well articulated comprehension of the modern development of technology. It is these elements which make Brown’s stories and his character of Langdon memorable.
Some of the plot used in this story goes back to previous Langdon tales. The device of Langdon and his damsel in distress on the run from authorities and who knows who else (again) forms the crux of the novel. I found the manner in which the story was wrapped up a little disappointing and - in some facets - unlikely, but some of that may speak to my limited insight and inability to read between the lines, more so than Brown’s story-telling technique.
Fans of Dan Brown and Robert Langdon will enjoy the ride. Newcomers to either or both will find much to inform, educate and mildly dazzle them.
