I should put a disclosure here; I've been a huge fan of Thorgrim right from the first novel in this series. Nelson' s latest offering does not disappoint, just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for Thorgrim at the end of 'Glendalough Fair'... This is the first of the 'Night Wolf' books when I've thought that you really do need to have read the previous book, there are reminders as you go but to start with I began to think I'd better reread the previous book before continuing but I managed without it in the end. I wasn't sure how this novel would go because it came so quickly after the last one, but the quality was still there. This is a fast paced tale of shifting fortunes and alliances. There's plenty of Viking cunning and a good few surprises, can't wait for the next one!
I have read and reviewed all the books in this series so far. I have run out of hyperbole. I can only say this, if you ike this kind of thing you will love this. Read this book or start at the beginning, the purchase price is cheap for hours of entertainment in the movie of your mind. You will not regret it.
