This book skips ahead again and we are introduced to the children of each of the main characters. While all the main characters are still in play, we get to know the next generation and the roles they are born to lead. Drama and intrigue continue to weave an intricate pattern continually keeping you guessing as to what could happen next. Owen and Sinia’s daughter Trynne is the main focus and is a strong female character facing many conflicts and is also fountain blessed. This one ends with a twist at the end that I definitely did not see coming, now I can’t wait to get onto the next book!
Finding a new series often feels challenging, but Wheeler engaged me from the first. The characters are sketched with a light hand at first, with detail being added gradually until they become old friends, or even fiends ;) A light hand allowed the "powers" involved to start in a way that perplexed the characters, allowing the reader to feel growing empathy for their situation. This worked for me>
Wow!!! Totally brilliant ending to the Kingfountain series!! This author is simply awesome in every way. There has never been a book that he has penned that I have not loved and I always click the buy button when I see pre order! I am not going to speak of the story, enough is said on it but do yourself a favour and jump in, you won't regret it
Now we've moved on to the children of the last books main characters!! We will see how their roles unfold and who will be the heroes and who will be the villains!! Bring on book number 5, this series is just brilliant!!!
As I started this book it seemed very much like the first, a child's story (or at least from a child's perspective) and was a little disappointed until it actually truly revealed itself to be a wonderful masterpiece worth the read.
