Macs husband died leaving her with teenage son and her mother to care for. She use to live in a religious cult where women were possessions men and sons were lords and fathers and didn’t respect women not even mothers or grandmothers. At her husbands funeral she decided to leave the cult. Because no one would care for her.
I truly enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to anyone. It has a bit of religious scriptures.
My disclaimer... I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. Any book or novels I leave reviews on are not dependent on the book/novel review author’s opinion. No one influenced my voluntary review for any of the books or novels I read, they are my own opinions
Escaping from a cult! I don't think I've really thought before what that would be like, and certainly the idea that God's word can be twisted the way that the cult is portrayed as doing is horrific. A great read, and I enjoyed watching Riley develop as much as the romance. My main quibble would be that I would have liked rather more detail about how bits of it worked out (especially about Riley). A good, clean read that I would highly recommend (as with all of the author's other books I've read).
