Great product - well made - value for money

Great sound overall. I previously had Plantronics over the ear which lasted well with heavy use. The Bose fits into the ear with a bud - style fitting giving some degree of passive noise cancelling. But not too much so I do hear buses coming from behind and have an awareness of ambient noise/wind (which I think is necessary if you are walking around town/running etc). I've used for running in light rain and so far seems to be able to cope. I was worried they would be a bit delicate but they've survived a month of being shoved in a pocket, hung around my neck and general daily use.
They look good and fine for office and urban use. If these were just for running I would prefer a more rugged build and for the cable to be woven for extra strength - but as I use in both environments I'm happy with the design. Other reviews said they stick out a bit - but I haven't had anyone point and laugh at me yet. I prefer the wired version to the True WIreless as I'd just lose those things. I can just hang around my neck and so far they haven't fallen off with almost daily use and walking around quite a bit.
The sound is good and Bose balanced - so good for a wide range of music (I listen to almost anything) and also podcasts sound good too. I've used on a few phone calls whilst driving and found the sound quality my side to be good and the other person hears me fine.
The battery is ok - not as good as the 14 hours I used to get with Plantronics. But 10 hours is ok and I think the tradeoff is that you get really good Bluetooth coverage. In fact, it's almost too good. I was the other side of the office and still connected which is great - but when I put my phone near my Bluetooth keyboard it seems to create issues. So my thinking is the Bluetooth is very strong.
The Bose app is basic, it pairs easily and without fuss. I guess that's all you want. But wouldn't mind a few things to play with, although I'm a purist with sound and don't expect an equalizer - but have had many arguments with others about this.
The volume is fine. I do find I have it up around 80% of max most of the time. I think I wouldn't be able to deafen myself even at max volume. Probably a good thing as I tend to want the sound to be loud and I expect the engineers have decided that any louder and you'll damage the product and your eardrums.
