A Blushing Book Review
13 February 2019
This book sinks its teeth in you from the very first page and does not loosen its grip until the very end. Again I listened/ read this book in the one sitting as I could not pull myself away from it.
Tahlia’s devastating and horrific ordeal pulls out your heart and throws it on the floor then squashes it with Alexi’s painful past. The characters are full of depth, the plot well thought out and the brilliant words blend it all together flawlessly.
You can’t help is but sympathise with her character, she is broken and damaged, owning her torment and refusing to make excuses for wanting to put an end to it. Alexi is a hard, unapologetic man but with enough redeemable qualities you can see past some of the hardness of him
The emotional journey is tough at times to read but it’s not a hearts and flowers kind of story so you expect to be challenged in these type of books.
A. Zavarelli is exceptionally talented at bleeding each emotion for what it is, making the characters in her stories fascinating and so individual, so distinctive from characters in the last book. I am jumping straight into Saint Book #4 in the series now!
