To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Worked with my Samsung TV via the optical cable and paired with my Bowers & Wilkins bluetooth headphones by following all the directions for each device. Excellent sound, no dropouts, decent range. Only one very minor complaint: no off switch, so the LED is always on.
I bought this item because both my husband and I need to have ear phones to listen to the television. Our hearing has finally gotten that bad. This was advertised to work with two headsets. Sounds great when you only have one Bluetooth headset plugged in, but when we turned both on, we got a feedback noise that doesn't allow us to use it simultaneously. Their customer service contacted me with a gift card and they are working to get this problem resolved. I appreciate good customer service and I give them five stars for that.
The TaoTronics Bluetooth transmitter is exactly as advertised and does a great job. It was easy to set up, though I wish there was a beep or other sound confirming when my headphones were successfully paired. Volume control is based on the TV volume and the volume of your headphones. I also wish there was a way to turn it off remotely so I don't see the blinking light when I turn the TV off and go to sleep. The latency is great too as the sounds from the TV and the headphones match. There's no delay.
This unit did not work for me, so I cannot in all honesty rate it! However the customer service is exceptional. The company and did everything possible to satisfy me. I wish more companies would show this kind loyalty to their customers.
Update: I increased the stars due to how swiftly they were to contact me about refunding me for the product. I did not get it to work for me, but maybe I will find one that will work with my Samsung earbuds. Maybe I will try a differwnt model.
Still trying to conmect my Samsung Buds Live.....no success after 2 days trying to figure this out. Really disappointed. Instructions need to included for ALL bluetooth device along with a compatability list.
The instructions need a lot more clarity. I can’t imagine someone without tech skills figuring this out easily. So far the product is working. I have an interesting set up so I thought I would share.
I bought this and didn’t realize my TV doesn’t have audio output. So I tried to hook it up to my cable box optical port. It connected right away but was very staticky. Then I turned off the headphones and unit and re-paired them and it worked like a charm.
I have an older Samsung LED TV and I’m using a extra set of Taotronics wireless headphones for just this purpose.
I look forward to being able to run and watch TV and listen through my headphones without disturbing everyone in my household.
Well i bought this item to hook up a JBL SB250 sound bar and wireless sub woofer, but I couldn't get it to work, but I think it's my error. I'm not good with electronics after suffering from a traumatic brain injury. But they shipped it super fast, the user manual was very hard to read the letters are super super small, I just wish i could get it to work with my TV so I can use the JBL Sb250 but like i mentioned I am not good with electronics. but other than that, it's a great product, looks great came with everything like it said on the site, and they shipped it really really fast. I just need to figure out how to get audio out of my JBL SB250. But I'm sure that I'm hooking it up wrong, using the optical out of my TV but still no luck on getting any sound. Thank you amazon. :)
To get this to work with a samsung with smart hub, try this. Use the optical cable, the other adapter would not allow sound through. Change your audio type to PCM in the settings. Then the rest of the setup info in the instructions should work fine. We use these on a few TV's in the house and it works with all the different bluetooth headsets we have.
