The book breaks down the components of stoicism into bite size chunks aka by suggesting the reader covers off one concept a day. If you haven't delved into this philosophy, it is great way to allow readers an insight & also provides encouragement to weight how their own personal ethics are working (or not), for them. It therefore can become a journey to grow.
It's a great read. The transkation if the teachings of Epictetus, Seneca and others are easy to absorb.
It was a pleasure to read one page a day for the entire year __ some ideas I applied that day’ some were soon forgotten and some I hope I still use now and again __ the point I think is to try to live the good life every day. Look forward to doing it all again in 2018 and beyond 😀
This book is great as it translates in layman’s terms some of the great Stoic thinking. It’s handy to keep by your bedside to read the days entry upon arising and then also upon retiring. Highly recommended.
