5+ stars!!! Read on behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium.
I feel like I should be concerned by my love for this story. From the first page I was obsessed! I just couldn't read it quick enough. I should have been horrified by Ashers behaviour... I wasn't, I was turned on. Who am I? I was on the edge of my seat, devouring the words. I cried my eyes out in parts and held my breath, while my heart literally beat out of my chest with fear, at other points. This book is a MUST READ! It's the first one I've read of Alex's but she now has a new fan.
Asher sees Poppy and in that moment has to have her. He knows she will be his wife and goes out of his way to get her. Poppy has no idea that the mystery man who has been sending her flowers every week for eight months is. He doesn't make a move. Then one day she starts to get text messages from him. Asher has been watching Poppy obsessively since day one. He gets to a time in his life that he can now pursue her. No spoilers from me..
The story is just so good, it is fast paced and exciting. It has everything you need in a story to keep you turning the pages. I urge you to read their story. You won't regret it.
I probably shouldn't admit to this but I loved this twisted love story !
It made me wonder what I would do if it was me ..... could I get over it ..... could I forgive .... and oddly enough I found my self intrigued lol ..... Another great read that I absolutely enjoyed by Alex .... I can't wait to read more from her !
I don’t even know what to say except I loved this book so freaking much. The basic premise is that Asher is a stalker. He stalks a woman named Poppy, has her car tracked, has cameras in her house, watches her sleep, watches her work. He also doesn’t deny the fact that he is crazy obsessed with her. The thing is that I started the book knowing all that, and still somehow liked Asher. I don’t understand how or why, but I was totally rooting for Asher the whole way through. I know I sound crazy, but I think having alternating chapters in his point of view helped. Either that, or Alex Grayson is just really freaking talented. Poppy was a likable, believable character. While she came across as a little naïve at the start, and somehow completely missed the connection between Sterling and Asher, she reacted to a lot of stuff the way I would have. And I totally understood how she felt attracted to someone watching her. Liv and Tony were awesome characters, and I loved how Liv took care of her and handled the Asher situation. I also enjoyed learning about Asher’s family, but I was not prepared for the reason he spent a year stalking Poppy instead of approaching her. Like, crap. I felt so bad for him and Poppy when he revealed what was up. Somehow this book was a romance between a stalker and his victim. Every part of me knows that shouldn’t make sense, but it does in this book. Honestly, even if you don’t like the idea of this book, you should give it a go anyway. I was so sure I’d hate the characters and storyline, but I enjoyed it immensely.
Right from the start I was hooked. I love a stalker romance read. I am addicted. This book was for me. I feel so madly in love. I loved every page. Alex had me from page one. This had it all. Twists turns, perfect build up, suspense. Unpredictable 5 star read.
Poppy has no idea she's being watched. I am not giving anything away here . But, her stalker is obsessed. And will go measures to make sure she's hers. You won't see what's coming in this book, and will not be able to put it down. Jaws will drop.
Well Alex has found a new stalker, me. Madly in love this this. Highly recommend.
