This story is not getting anywhere. I am bored of reading dialogue and extended scenes of chatting, discussions and petty emotional exchanges. I'm a little bored as the story does not seem to be going anywhere and the relationship between the triad is never clear, first they are agreeing to stick together, then they are suddenly fighting. One moment the characters are understanding everything, and then suddenly they are asking questions as if a long discussion did not just happen on that topic. I think this story could have been told in five or six books, and not nine, or ten, or however many books this story is going to take.
So looked forward to this book, since I've enjoyed the last 8. For some reason, I didn't enjoy it as much, I'm rather disappointed. There wasn't a lot of tension, like the previous books, where I look forward to flipping the 'pages.' It was more like like talk talk talk and less action. What actions there were, were not initiated by Ciardin or Sebastian.
