I REALLY wanted to like this, but...
2 January 2017
I really thoroughly enjoyed the original Matefinder trilogy, and I bought this book, hoping that the same level of story-telling would carry over.
At first, it did, but after a third of the way through (give or take - I don't want to spoil), things just became stupid and neither conformed to the world that was created in the original trilogy, even though this book IS SUPPOSED to be in the same world, nor did the story really hold up.
In general, and conclusion, the first part of the book was fantastic - As to be expected for a follow on from the Matefinder trilogy. After that, the story goes downhill, like a drunk, obese family member tripping and falling down the stairs, at an annual family barbecue - It's VERY noticeable and a VERY difficult memory to get out of your head.
