I'm so glad that I finally got around to reading Beedle's tales. While I enjoyed the stories themselves & their correlation with 'muggle fairy tales', the real fun was reading Dumbledore's notes following each tale. I wasn't sure what to expect but found myself chuckling out loud at the dry wit infused in these notes. Rowling did a great job of giving Dumbledore a voice through these expositions. Intelligent, sarcastic, wise, and completely upfront about his own skills and knowledge, I got to the end wanting more of Dumbledore's observations.
