Claire and Luca are brought together through a mix up at a fertility clinic, she's had his baby instead of her late husband's. He wants joint custody, she wants him to go away. He dosn't trust women, an ex had tried to pass a strangers baby as his. She didn't trust men, her husband died in a car crash with his girlfriend. Together they find a middle road formed through joint love of their daughter, but can it last ?? Very good well written book thank you Andrea Laurence Sue P
Oh I really wanted this book to be better but from the moment I read the back story I was able to predict the conflict. Ugh! The story started off well enough. I loved that the characters were both not afraid to say what was on each's mind. I totally get why the reacted the way he did when he found that she was pregnant .
The CEO of a family restaurant chain suddenly finds out that the fertility clinic that stored his sperm used it by mistake. Wanting a relationship with his child, he finds himself constantly blocked by his child's mother. Spending four weeks together will hopefully give him a chance to know his daughter and more about the woman who could hold his heart. But could his secret drive them apart. Very romantic with a lot of sexual tension.
The writer made me cry with Luca over his illness at a young age and with Claire as a young widow finding out that her husband was leading a double life. Luca big, loud and loving family made me wish I had a family just like that! I marveled when Claire got pregnant and angry when Luca questioned if it was his....I could have slapped him! I plan to read it again!
