Great monitor. I already had one and with Covid-19 need a second for having email, Excel, PowerPoint and other screens open at once. The USB ports for charge come in handy to charge the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard along with cell phone.
I've had this monitor for 3+ years of daily use. Still feels like new! Has a 75hz freesync option, which now also work on nvidia cards. It has a little backlight bleeding around the edges (not something abnormal for any monitor), aside from that the picture and sound quality is pretty good! Wish it had more input options (has only 2 hdmi ports and one DisplayPort™️).
I own a 15" MacBook Pro that I use primarily for photo editing, because of the color-accurate screen it has I was very particular when searching for an external monitor that would provide a similar profile. This LG is incredible, right out of the box the colors are near-perfect. The design itself is minimal and gorgeous, 34" seems to be the sweet spot (at least for me) when it comes to screen size. I can have both Lightroom and Photoshop open alongside each other and don't have to turn my head. It's really boosted my productivity by being able to have everything I could ever need for whatever I'm doing all pulled up at once. Plus the pronounced curve looks so cool sitting on my desk! It's tough to find any negatives, but if I had to pick one the monitor can jiggle around a bit sometimes depending on how sturdy your desk is, but this comes with the territory of owning an ultra wide monitor. Don't hesitate to buy this monitor.
Bought this as it is similar to my work monitor which works outstanding. This one seems to have some sort of internal problem where it loses the signal and I just get snow. Too late to return to Amazon, so I will have to deal with LG warranty. I'm so looking forward to that...
I have switched between LG 34WN80C-B, 34UC80-B, 34UC79G-B, and finally this one, i.e., 34UC88-B, and have been extremely happy with the buy. It's the best 3440x1440 21:9 ultra-wide screen monitor, in my opinion. The colors are sharp, response time is great and overall look and feel of the device are excellent. It's much more sturdier than its counterpart (no wobble when using keyboard on the same desk), and has a very thin bezel. I am not sure if it's with everyone but in case you see that there is a subtle lag on the keyboard or mouse speed, please use a wired version for both, bluetooth keyboard and mouse haven't been too great at this resolution. Also, I was able to use a separate USB-B cable to connect my computer (laptop and desktop) to this monitor, allowing me to connect both the (wired) keyboard and mouse to the monitor, and have a seamless switch experience between laptop and desktop. I highly recommend this monitor, if you're a developer, web designer, digital photo enthusiast, regular user who just needs wider workspace. It's the best alternative to two monitor setup. You can use LG On Screen Control software to divide your monitor into two or more virtual monitors, and the software is a breeze to install and use. I love this monitor, it looks great in my office room, and it fits my lifestyle.
Worked fine until vertical line of dead pixels formed after less than 1 month of use. Appeared within days and only got worse. I treated this like valuable porcelain china and it failed regardless. Pathetic quality control from LG.
They will repair it since it is under warranty. I have my doubts since this is evidently a common and recurrent problem due to design flaws and cheap build quality. The product as well as the packaging essentially arrived damaged.
Edit: Thankfully, Amazon did eventually agree to accept a refund after initially refusing. I bought a more reliable Dell monitor which has been excellent.
