A life in vivid images: Bon as a reckless kid and a risk-taking young man; Angus, Malcolm and others in and around the band, sketched in — sometimes in surprising colours.
But it's Bon, front and centre, who dazzles in the spotlight. A brilliant picture of the man, living through the hard times and the good times, on that knife edge between immense fame and total disaster.
Fantastic read, a keen perception and imagining of Bon Scott and each character in turn. Revived Bon's life with an efficiency of language which shrugged off any seriousness though clearly cut to the chase. Engrossing and intimate, lively though often pensive, this book flew by. If only there had been more of it!
