A subject matter that doesn't discrimnate and affects so many people in the world today, But as stated in the book one can never truly understand what it feels like unless it is happening or happened to you. However this felt like a very realistic glimpse into how it feels. I was expecting to feel more emotionally drained reading this book but perhaps I was having an off day where I didn't connect as deeply as I might have. It made me think about the people in my life who have survived and also lost their fight and gave me a new perspective on what they went through. It has made me reflective on my own life.
