Bernadette has written several books that I'm working my way through. This one is the most important IMO.
Before anyone can even begin to create a product or service we must first understand the mindset and worldview of the potential user of our product or service. Not doing that is to court a massive waste of time, if not disaster.
In this book, Bernadette offers tons of examples on how we can discover our potential customer's mindset and worldview. Then how to create and offer the product or service they want. Or maybe need.
What I love about all of Bernadette's books and writings is the profoundness yet practical and immediately implementable ideas. Bernadette also writes in a deeply personal way which I also love. You can't help but feel that every paragraph was written just for you.
We're all on a search for ways to do our work more meaningfully for others as well as ourselves. This book provides a great blueprint to follow.
This book has changed my view on how should a business operates. Having a business is not about generating money but it's about creating values for the customers; when customers values yours service or products then the success will follow.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in creating a business. Every little stories of successful enterprises are inspiring and informative.
Every page has multiple nuggets of wisdom that alone would make the book worthwhile, let alone the blueprint strategy. As with all of Bernadette's work - it's the beautiful language, the stories and then the very practical application. I'm off to read it again!
