It has been a long time, since I have read a series, as enthralling as The Dragon Masters, Silverleaf chronicles. The storyline grabs the reader and takes them on a whirlwind ride, travelling the roads required by Silverleaf to outrun the madness he is certain will claim him, he is a dragon master, one who is born to bond with and ride as one with the dragon, the only problem is, there are no dragons left, they have all died off leaving Silverleaf and those like him to grow up and eventually wonder the forests, and slowly glide into madness. This whole story is written with the knowledge of where his travels will lead him, but slowly, with the friendship of a young lady, that he meets, and is also a dragon master, Silverleaf, finds that he can personally direct his own pathways and destiny, while helping Kallista who unknowingly helps break down Silverleaf 's negative thoughts and beliefs. It has been a long time since reading such a well written and challenging book, it takes you on so many different pathways, while personally involving the reader within all the trials, challenges and emotional questions, that throughout the story that the in-depth characters have to deal with, it is easy to feel as though you are personally experiencing everything that is being delt with, and the roads being harshly travelled, especially as the two characters, Silverleaf and Kallista, are continually avoiding an invading army of humans, who are being controlled. I would personally recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a story that takes you through everything that has been artistically created to see and feel the life, blood and imagery developed by the author within this story, the empathy and understanding of loosing so much, yet walking these roads in the hope life will change where you believe you will end up, the end result being, thrilling, fulfilling and completely stunning, hope gives everyone a chance, enjoy.
